The Stephen F. Austin Horticulture Club is known for going on great trips and visiting very interesting places. The Club meets once a week to help the SFASU Arboretum by propagation of plants to go in the Arboretum and for Horticulture Club plant sales. Several plant sales are held throughout the year with the most important being Garden Gala Day, held each year on the third Saturday of May. Club members are encouraged to be involved in the fund raising activities so that they may attend trips free.

SFA Horticulturists Win Regional 2002 Competition

The main goal of the Club is to educate horticulture students, broaden their educational experience beyond the classroom, and increase public awareness of horticulture and the SFASU Arboretum. The Club is open to anyone who expresses an interest in horticulture and the environment. There are no dues to join the Club.
