Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture

ATCOFAagricultureMottoIn 2015, the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture and Purdue University published a report indicating a great demand for college graduates with agricultural degrees to fill the estimated 57,900 high-skill job opportunities available annually in the agriculture, environmental, food and natural resource fields in the United States. The Department of Agriculture at SFA offers multiple specialized academic tracks to prepare students for these career opportunities and ensure they are equipped to face the challenges of a growing, globalized world. Students may hone their specialties in agribusiness, agricultural development, agricultural engineering technology, animal science, horticulture and poultry science. Furthermore, students obtain firsthand experience in their designated field throughout their undergraduate career, a characteristic that distinguishes our program from many others.
