Dr. Erin Brown is an assistant professor of animal science. Dr. Brown completed her doctoral degree in beef cattle nutrition from Texas A&M University in 2005, her master's degree in dairy and calf nutrition from Michigan State University in 2002, and her bachelor's degree in animal science from Texas A&M University in 1999.
Dr. Brown was born and raised on a small farm in Seguin, Texas. Her family owns cattle, horses, sheep, goats and hogs. She was very active in 4-H and FFA while growing up, where she developed a passion for agriculture. Dr. Brown's responsibilities at SFA include teaching animal science, beef production, swine production, feeds and formulation, advanced nutrition, and artificial insemination courses. She is also the faculty supervisor for the swine center and beef center.
Dr. Brown advises animal science students and is the advisor to the SFA Show Team. Her specialty is beef cattle nutrition.
