Horticulture Club

The Stephen F. Austin Horticulture Club is known for going on great trips, visiting exciting places, and learning the tips and tricks of 21st century Horticulture. The Club meets once a week to help the SFA Mast Arboretum by propagation of plants to go in the Arboretum and for Horticulture Club plant sales. Several plant sales are held throughout the year and club members are encouraged to be involved in the fund raising activities so that they may attend trips free.

One of the highlights of the SFA Horticulture Club is participating in the annual J. Benton Storey Undergraduate Student Horticulture Judging Contest, as part of the Collegiate Branch of the American Society for Horticultural Science.  Over the years, the SFA team has taken many team and individual awards.  Come join in the fun.  To join the Horticulture Club, contact the SFA Horticulture Club Advisor, Dr. Jared Barnes.
